Four public meetings were held regarding the possible conversion of Second and Short Streets in Lexington from one-way streets to two-way streets. All of the public meetings were held at the Phoenix Bldg. in Downtown Lexington.

The first public meeting was held for Churches and Schools in the study area on November 12, 2009. Three people attended the meeting, however, comments were collected from various churches and schools before and after the meeting date.

The second public meeting was held for Businesses in the study area on November 17, 2009 . Fifteen people attended the meeting.

The third public meeting was held for Residents in the study area on December 1, 2009. This meeting had the largest crowd with 38 people attending.

The fourth public meeting was held for the General Public on January 19, 2010. Nineteen people attended the meeting.

2035 Metropolitan Transportation Plan Public Meetings

Several meetings were held to introduce stages of the 2035 Metropolitan Transportation Plan. A survey was used to gather information for the plan as well as other related plans. The survey was created in English and Spanish, and 2,282 surveys were distributed and collected from various sources (public meetings, events, community centers, libraries, churches, senior centers, online, UK and LFUCG).
